Steering system is a very important system of vehicles. People began to research many methords in order to overcome the faults that the heavy of the traditional trapezoidal steering system, the limited of steering mode,not flexible,and difficult to ensure the pure rolling. Thus the hydraulic power steering, electric power steering and electronic control power steering was introduced into this field. Taking into account the mechanical manipulation of structure and layout, walking round pressure, the rack strength and stiffness, and the coordination of operations for some large-scale engineering machinery, it requires a multi-axis drive and multi-mode steering.electro-hydraulic steering has shown great advantages.Electro-hydraulic steering system cancel the mechanical connection between the steering wheel and steering machine(that is, with control signal between the steering wheel and steering machine).it completely free from the traditional steering system limitations,and freely design the force and the angle transmission characteristics of vehicles steering. the design enhance the vehicles steering capabilities.In order to reduce driver labor intensity, improve the flexibility of steering and stability,this subject study and design electro-hydraulic steering systems of vehicle, achieve to the electro-hydraulic integration. This paper mainly accomplished those following tasks:First, it analyzed the purpose and significance of this research and introduced the development situation.Secondly, it completied the analysis of vehicle steering mode kinematics, the design of steering wheel system, including design electronic steering wheel,main sensors and the steering feel simulation.it completed mechanical systems design of the electro-hydraulic steering system, including the steering mechanism analysis, the initial location and parameters and set up a mathematical model of steering system; this article design hydraulic system, electronic system.based on the theory of CAN bus and PID control it control steering system.Finally, the conclusion was obtained.
