In recent years, with China's rapid development of road traffic, highway construction has become a mainstay industry to stimulate national economic growth and promote local economic development. China is a mountainous country, with the country's total area in the near 2 / 3 for the mountains, hills and rugged mountains. In these areas, in order to ensure the technical requirements of high-grade highways, tunnels are frequently used. At the beginning of our country, before large-scale highway construction, highway tunnel group were considerably small quantity and size, and does not dictate the accident mechanism, tunnel lighting and control system. With the expand of the scale of highway construction, particularly in the western mountain highway construction, more tunnel groups emerge, and also have large scale with long and big tunnels.In such circumstances, the accident mechanism and disaster control of highway tunnel group has become a very important and urgent problem. Based on this background, research on the above problem has been done, and the main contents are as follows:index system of expressway tunnel group accident are obtained through the research on a variety of past accidents, and the the factors affecting the safety of tunnel group are listed. Meanwhile, the theory of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is applied to assemss the risk of highway traffic tunnel group quantitatively and semi-quantitatively.
