The third red layer as a result of sedimentary history shorter, more like semi-diagenesis,cementation and the relatively low degree of consolidation,the ability of poor wind resistance,water sensitive (dilatability,water softening),a significant decline in water intensity of rock,landslide and other geological disasters relatively develop.Depth the third red layer in the mechanism of landslide occurrence and development of the study to the stability of Red layer in landslide analysis and management of engineering design and provide a theoretical basis.Based on the above understanding,we have the third red layer of the Geological Survey landslide,geomechanics model test, numerical analysis and theoretical studies reveal the occurrence and development mechanism of altiplano red layer landslide.The main research results are as follows:(1) Geological survey of the scene showed that:landslide area is "V"-shaped valley and valley slope physiognomy,Tectonism is the main cut,both sides of the valley is the steep slope terrain,gully development;landslide development are mainly the third red beds soft rock;landslide area is of more rupture intersection,in the structure of rock fracture,rock crushing,easy to soften water.(2)the third red layer mudstone of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau has a special character.Study shows that:In the unloaded condition,the red mudstone layer intension is fall continually with an increase in unloading deformation continuously reduced internal friction angle of up to 20 percent loss,loss of cohesion as high as 82 percent.The third red layer mudstone strength is closely related to the role of water, the red intensity of a significant decline in mudstone layer,the softening coefficient between 0.03 to 0.06,the strength loss of more than 90%. (3) The use of indoor geomechanics model test on the incised valley, as well as the process of rainfall infiltration Red landslide deformation and failure of the research process.The results showed that:incised valley,as well as the role of water in the third red layer of the formation of landslides play an important role,incised valley caused by slope unloading relaxation(the first intensity decay), as well as the appearance of the invading surface landslide the basis for the role of water caused by softening of rock mass strength(second intensity decay) is the direct cause of landslide development,that is,the two red mudstone layer intensity attenuation led to the formation and development of landslides.(4)The application of numerical analysis methods,respectively, under the cut from the Valley,rainfall infiltration studies the role of the Long mu er the third red layer mudstone development mechanism of the occurrence of landslides.Study shows that:incised valley of the rock mass caused by unloading relaxation,caused by rainwater infiltration rock strength degradation is the formation of red layer a major factor in landslides.The third red layer of the occurrence and development of the mechanism of landslides are:the original topography - the valley under the cut - slope unloading relaxation - geotechnical strength attenuation - the action of water - rock and soil strength further attenuation - the slope overall slip.
