Research On Rock And Soil Regionalization Method And Index For Highway In China

With a vast territory,rock and soil has complicated properties and a huge variety of types in China.As the construction environment for highway engineering,the propertie of rock and soil influences the beating capacity of foundation,the deformation stability of slopes and surrounding rocks,the building materials,and the degree of construction difficulties and so on. Understanding the regional distribution rule and characteristics of rock and soil,and carrying out the study of rock and soil regionalization for highway,it is important significance for the construction and development of highway engineering.According to the research object,the paper uses Engineering Geologic Map of China (Ren Guolin,1:4,000,000) and Quaternary Geological Map of China(Zhang Zonghu,1:2,500,000) as the base maps.The Distribution Map of Highway Rock Types of China(1:8 000 000),The Distribution Map of Highway Soil Types of China(1:8 000 000) and The Distribution Map of Highway rock and soil Types of China(1:8 000 000) are compiled on the platform of GIS,reference to the grade division principle and method of research object. The distribution law of highway rock and soil types of China has been studied.According to the principle of system theory,the paper establishes the index system of China highway rock and soil regionalization adapting system and fractal method.The rock and soil and complex index of rock and soil are used as the first-grade regionalization index. Average intensity index and the types of rock and soil are used as the second-grade regionalization index.The model of complex index of rock and soil and average intensity index have been proposed.The Regionalization Map of Highway rock and soil in China(1:8 000 000) is compiled through spatial analysis.China is divided into 12 first-grade regions and 42 second-grade regions,and the zoning explainations are made in detail in this sub-program.The basic distribution law of rock and soil conditions has been studied comprehensivly, The Regionalization Maps of Highway rock and soil in China has also been arrived at.The paper has an important practical significance for highway construction planning design, construction,conservation and protection management.
