Investigation And Research On The Early Failure Of Asphalt Pavement And Preventive Measures In Gansu Province

Most of asphalt pavement of highway in our country appeared various distress in early days such as crack, deformation and water damage. And these early failures influenced the service life and the service quality of highway seriously.In this paper, aiming at better understand the service condition and distress of asphalt concrete pavement of high grade highway in Gansu province, and making many investigations about asphalt concrete pavement of high grade highway in Gansu province associated to research of some roads in developed provinces, the main distress of asphalt concrete pavement of high grade highway in Gansu province could be summarized. The main distress and causes are researched, and the preventive measures for pavement distress are proposed.There are some suggestions to improve the quality of asphalt concrete pavement of high grade highway in Gansu province such as design, construction, materials and scientific research according to the investigations.
