The anti-sliding piles are widely used in the reinforcement engineering of slopes and mitigation and prevention of natural geological disasters induced by landslides, and it has been proved that the anti-sliding piles'fuction is pretty well. But existing anti-slide pile structures all have a common shortcoming: they do not take full advantage of the soil strength. Accordingly it is necessary to do more study on micro pile-soil coupling-slide piles—a new kind of anti-slide structure.Soil arching effect is an important precondition of adjacent pertaining or anti-sliding piles working safely and cost-efficiently.In cohesive soil, the spacing between adjacent piles is related to formation of soil arching. So the space of piles is critical to capacity of coupling-slide piles.In this paper, the suitable pile spacing's span is obtained by model test of soil arching effect. In addition, the relationship between pile spacing and displacement of pile block, the soil strength parameters such as cohesion c , internal friction angleφand water ratioωis analyzed. It will also provide reference for optimization of pile spacing's design.Then the result of the rational spacing between adjacent piles came from model test above is applied on coupling-slide piles. Through the model test of coupling-slide piles, the paper generalizes the distributing regularity of thrust force of landslide applied on micro-piles. And it also discuss the effect on coupling-slide piles'block by soil cohesion c and internal friction angleφ.Finally the design methods,design procedure,design philosophy and conditons of application of coupling anti-slide piles have been discussed in this paper, especially parameter of micro-pile of coupling-slide piles,effective radius,equivalent radius,flexural rigidity etc, and author presents many individual opinions on their formula derivation.
