Subway Tunnel Construction in the compact city will bring earth movement and distortion and impact on the surrounding environment. In order to explore the subway tunnel construction-induced damage and the interaction between buildings and tunnel, this thesis make use of model test, numerical simulation and monitoring to study the mutual influence between the tunnel and its' surrounding buildings. And then it has proposed the control criterions of building subsidence in this thesis. The main researches are as following:(1) Due to the different forms of the building basis, the mutual influence between the tunnel construction and neighboring buildings is also different. Basing on the 6th line of Guangzhou's Donghu Metro Station, this thesis simulates and analyses the tunnel construction under the Haiyin Electric City, in order to find out the regular patterns of the mutual influence between the tunnel and its' surrounding buildings.(2) According to similarity theory, i.e., employing the plane stress model test to simulate the impact of tunnelling on the ground, under the conditions that the basis of the building is existing, the surface settlement curves have been obtained in the thesis which is mutually certified with the result of numerical simulation experiment, and testifies the validity of the outcome of the experiment, through the comparison between the experiment and the on-scene monitoring numbers.(3) The damage of adjacent structure on, the tunnel construction is judged by establishing allowed soil settlement and soil loss, which determines the damage degree of building and whether to adopt the corresponding protective measure, through controlling of the curving and inclining distortion of building.(4) Evaluation principles and criterions for the impact of the subway tunnel construction on its'surrounding buildings have been expounded, and the building safety criterions to control the damage effect of tunnel excavation within reasonable limits have been propounded in this thesis.
