As the development of research in the urban transit system, buses play very important roles in people's life, while those are the one of the universal traffic vehicle which is preferred by the citizen. In order to reduce the travel time of the bus, this paper analyses the problem which buses always spend too much time on passing station. The research is important and useful to improve the service level of the transit.According to the characteristic of passengers and buses, this paper analyses the course of hitching bus of the passenger and bus berthing separately. more deeply and detailed compartmentalization in boarding and alighting time of passenger. and in the types of delay are studied. The data collected in the survey of Xi'an is used to study the characteristic and regularity of the resorting time of passenger in different stage and delay of bus. By anatomizing and summarizing, the methods to reduce and avoid the delay and the optimization are put forward. Finally, the important stop in Xi'an is taken as an example, with the survey. Some improved scheme based on the analysis about the types of delay and the characteristic of boarding and alighting time are given, the applicability and feasibility of the research are validated.The innovation of the paper is that the boarding process of the passenger is divided into several stages, based on the practical survey and analysis in the resorting time of those stages. It does the demonstration analysis about the countermeasure of reducing the delay in Xi'an station, based on the practical optimization and delay reduced.
