With the rapid development of national economy, highway transportation present a series of characters: heavy load, large flow and channelized traffic. Due to the heavy load, the shear stress on the interlayer of asphalt pavement increased sharply, the bonding state between each layer has destoried and caused a large number of damage on asphalt pavement. Based on load character of heavy traffic vehicles, the paper is about study on technology of interlayer treatment for heavy-traffic high grade highway. Adopting methods of combination of mechanical calculations and theoretical analysis, room simulation tests, paving trial road and on-site tests, the paper provides an important theoretical support for technology of interlayer treatment on heavy-traffic high grade highway which suit for Chinese circumstance, traffic conditions, material supply and the level of construction. The research findings have significant theoretical and practical value.On the basis of sufficient references of research results at home and abroad, using the method of combining theory with practice, this study calculate and analyze the force characteristics of heavy-traffic asphalt pavement and the effect of maximal shear stress towards road contact state between layers with Bisar3.0, and exploring the effects rule of parameters to the interlayer maximal shear stress. Self-developed multiple functions tier material shears instrument is used for the material of prime coat; tack coat; seal coat which commonly used, in order to test the adhesion under different temperatures and put forward the assessment indicator of road performance on interlayer materials. Through many experiments and various methods, the paper carries out a detailed study on the main factors that effect road performances of interlayer materials which includes materials type, dosage, temperature, load, construction technology and so on. Depends on entity project, this paper designed many kinds of technical scheme about interlayer treatment and two trial roads were built to verify the study results of laboratory reaserch. Combines with the domestic machinery and level of construction at present, and recommend the best type and dosage of materials for design, construction reference to heavy traffic asphalt pavement.
