After the notching and tinning used as the way to get textures of skid resistance for PCC pavement in our country for a long time, the diamond grooving has been widely used nowadays. Although grooving on PCC pavement, most of which transversely, can modify the longitudinal skid resistance and reduce the braking distance, it can't avoid the vehicle side slipping. Meanwhile, it has higher road noise level. For this issue, this paper does some researchs on grooving technology, which has anti-sliding and low-noise properties. have important practical significance.This paper studies on anti-sliding mechanisms and noise characteristics of grooved PCC pavement, and analyses the groove structure's influence on the skid resistance and tire-pavement noise. Thus the groove structure can be optimized reasonably to improve the skid resistance and lower noise level of grooved PCC pavement. Based on the analysis of road anti-sliding properties and the friction between tire-pavement, the anti-sliding mechanisms of grooved PCC pavement are obtained using three-component model. Also, the the groove structure's influences on skid resistance are analyzed theoretically. Through the indoor test, the affects of groove structure on the anti-sliding indexes are analysed. According to the analysis on tire-pavement noise generation mechanism and some influenced factors, the road noise properties of transversely grooved pavement, also the noise reduction mechanisms of randomly spaced and longitudinally grooved pavement are proposed. The results of Lijiahe Tunnel test road indicate that groove structures have different influence on road skid resistance and noise level, thus prove the theoretical anslysises are reasonable. Finally, the construction technology of anti-sliding and low noise grooved PCC pavement is studied based on the construction process of the test road.
