With the rapid development of transport, the steel-concrete composite beam bridge has been widely used because of its adaptability of larger span , small building height, fast construction speed, and good overall efficiency of significant advantages. However, due to the complexity of the factors which influence the composite beam bridges , compare to the reinforced concrete bridges and steel bridges, in terms of the reliability study is not deep enough. At the same time, it's difficult to analyse the reliability of steel-concrete composite beam bridge with the traditional methods.Therefore, for the promotion of further applications, it's important to carry out the study of reliability of composite beam bridges and to explore a relatively simple method of calculation and analysis.Firstly, based on domestic and relevant specifications, documents and experimental results, the research status of reliability about the steel - concrete composite beam bridge is presented. In addition , the basic Calculation method of structure reliability and the basic principles of Monte Carlo method for reliability analysis of composite beam bridge is introduced.Secondly, on the ground of relevant specifications and literature, the distribution function and statistical parameters of dead load and live load is determined.By taking use of the statistical methods and the error transfer formula, the statistical parameters of the main factors which impact the resistance of the composite bearm bridge is obtained, in addition to this ,the statistical parameter of the resistance of the composite beam bridge are given.Finally, in the basis of the statistical parameters of resistance and effect, combined with the Monte Carlo method, conducted a stochastic simulation to a project examples, in ordr to study the impact of different combination of materials on the reliability of composite beams. In addition to this a Computer program based on the Monte Carlo method to calculate the reliability of the composite bridge is given.
