| There are two types of stiffening girder in suspension bridges, including steel truss girder and flat streamlined closed-section box girder. Due to topographical conditions, truss girder is ofenly used in long-span suspension bridges in the mountain areas. Studys on loading methods of bridge decking and temporary segment connection are carried out in this paper, based on the Siduhe River Suspension Bridge of Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway. Some conclusions are obtained, which are useful references.Firstly, commonly used types of bridge decking of suspension bridges with steel truss girder and bridge decking construction technology of the Siduhe River Suspension Bridge are introduced. Two types of loading methods of bridge decking are presented, which are known as deck-loading after girder fully connected and deck-loading while girder connecting. The final internal force distribution of steel truss girder and impact on it with different loading methods are expounded. Then, a 3D FEM model of the Siduhe River Suspension Bridge is established with MIDAS/civil software. The paper compares two types of loading methods mentioned before by reverse disassembly based analysis. According to comparison of displacement and stress of stiffening girder, reasonable loading methods are ascertained and advantages and disadvantages of two types of loading methods are shown. Finally, the relation between temporary connection modes of truss girder and loading methods is investigated. With different segment connection, calculation of stiffening girder's stress while loading decks is executed to point out optimal temporary connection modes which are useful references for bridge decking construction of truss stiffening girder suspension bridges. |
