As a dynamical power or standby power equipment, storage battery group plays the all-important role in the power supply system in the nautical field. The nice working state of the storage battery group is the guarantee for ships' natural operation. On-line monitoring of the working voltage, the charging and discharging current and the temperature of unit monomers in the battery group can detect the bad-performance monomers and can estimate the residual capacity of the battery. It's significant in improving the performance, prolonging the life and developing of the storage battery.The wireless parameters acquisition system of storage battery developed in this thesis takes the takes marine lead-acid storage battery as the research object, and takes the MCU of AT89S52 as the controlling core. It can select every monomer in battery group on ships circularly for measuring by the choosing and sampling circuit. Then, it monitors the parameters of voltage, current and temperature in charging and discharging process of the monomers. The data obtained by the MCU can be transmitted to PC by the RF transferring terminal. The human-computer interface is developed by the Virtual Instrument application software named LabVIEW 8.2. It can display the real-time data of the battery, and give an alarm if necessary. And it can store and query the data by the database using the kit of LabSQL which is based on Microsoft ADO and SQL Language. After being tested, the system's function characteristics can be illustrated as follows:(1) It can monitor the real-time parameters of voltage, current and temperature of all the monomers in the battery group in charging and discharging process.(2) It avoids the serious defects of wired acquisition, such as low reliability, difficulty of laying wires and easily being damaged.(3) Low cost. The system uses the technology of Virtual Instrument, which can cancel the signal processing and displaying circuit in traditional monitoring system. And also, the system uses the lower-end equipment based on MCU instead of DAQ card.(4) Perfect human-computer interface. It can display the real-time data of the battery, and give an alarm if necessary. And it can sustain the query for the historical curves and records in a specified period of time.(5) The database of battery's parameters is saved in the hard disk in PC. It realizes the infinite storage of the data. In this thesis, in view of the difficulty of surplus capacity forecast, a BP neural network of storage battery's surplus capacity is designed and simulated, based on the battery's operation data gathered by the monitoring system. The performance analysis of the neural network indicates that error of the neural network can meet the precision requirement in engineering application, and the output of the network's simulation can comparatively reflect the battery's status. The neural network has the important engineering application value.
