With the introduction of EMU, digestion, absorption and re-innovation, a number of EMU have been in service with high-speed. As a result of the high speed, the structure is in a very bad situation, in a long-term effect of random stress, damage occurs in high stress place and gradually accumulated, when the damage reaches a certain level, it will lead to fatigue failure, which is a serious threat to traffic safety.To determine life of the structure, we must measure the load-time course and compile representative load spectrum simulating true condition of the train. The test of load spectrum of high-speed train is a difficult task, involving a wide range; each test is not only long but also costly. But with too few measured data, it is difficult to simulate the real load situation.How to carry out scientific and economic test of spectrum, with a high confidence level, to provide a moderate load spectrum is a major research object of this paper. Due to a high complex degree of EMU load, this paper research lateral load spectrum compiling methods as an example, other dynamic load-spectral method is similar. The main content of this paper is as following:1. Determine the lateral load identification method, through the finite element method, find a suitable position to stick gauge, calculate the load transfer coefficient, and do dynamic stress tests on the Beijing-Tianjin line.2. Process data and compile spectrum for each one-way. Based on experience, stress amplitude subject to the three-parameter Weibull distribution, the mean stress subject to the normal distribution. Statistical inference of spectrum is processed for each one-way, distribution of the stress spectrum for each one-way is obtained.3. Use statistical theory, with each one-way distribution of the stress spectrum, 95% confidence level spectrum distribution of the stress is obtained. Using load transfer coefficient, produce lateral load spectrum with more than 95% confidence level.4. Analyze life of the positioning rocker.
