At present, high-capacity battery has been widely used in automotive, communications, aerospace and other fields. Battery formation in battery manufacturing process as the key processes related to the quality of battery and it is a direct impact on production costs. However, due to the problem of the battery formation equipment's design and its efficiency caused a lot of energy wasted, especially during large-capacity battery formation process. Therefore, this article based on the situation that is battery charging module and discharge modules are low-voltage and high-current converter which makes it difficult to increase the efficiency designed a high efficient battery formation equipment. The paper analyzes a lot of circuit which suitable for charging and discharging module. For the discharge module, a new series-parallel topology was made, discharge module main circuit and control circuit were designed, all the system parameters were devised. For the charge module, current-double synchronous rectifier was chosen, charge module main circuit and control circuit were designed, all the system parameters were devised. At last, we produced a prototype and tested. Test result has proved feasibility of circuit topology structure and controlling scheme and shown correctness of system parameters.
