The evolution in integrated circuits for data processing such as microprocessors poses new challenges for their power supplies. The requirements are lower output voltages with higher currents, fast transient capabilities, high power density.high efficiency and high reliability. The Magnetics Integration (MI) techniques can help the Discrete Magnetics(DM) in the switchmode power converters to reduce the core loss, core size,or ripple current. As a result, the power density and the capability of the power converters can be improved. The purpose of this dissertation is to analyze the MI's application in low-voltage high-current output DC/DC converters. And this dissertation is helpful for understanding the analysis, design, modeling and simulation of the Integrated Magnetics(IM).Firstly, this dissertation introduces the techniques using in low-voltage high-current output DC/DC converters in recent years, detailedly analyzes the theory of the MI, then generalizes the methods of the MI techniques' applications and IM modes, elucidates the general process of researching IMs.Secondly, this dissertation educes the promising topologies for isolated low-voltage high-current output DC/DC converters by analyzing and comparing the basic topologies of the DC/DC converters.Based on the analysis and comparision of different IMs,the appropriate IM is chosen. Thus three IM low-voltage high-current output DC/DC converters are gained. Finally, this dissertation detailedly analyzes the IM Half Bridge with Current Doubler Rectifier(HB-CDR) converter and establishes its IM's Pspice simulation model. The IM HB-CDR converter is designed in the thesis. Its simulation results are given as well.
