An analysis of the electricity power distribution network operated by experts' shows that the duration of power interruptions is long result of apparition of faults and due to the time used in searching for the faults. This thesis proposes a new approach to manage fault in the distribution system, for minimize the time of fault searching, reduce area of interruption and increase the system reliability.Based on the integration of information available from recording devices with knowledge contained in a distribution database, the proposed method will make it possible to accurately identify the fault location of fault upon its occurrence, thus speeding the restoration process. The proposed alternative approach to the management of network faults on the distribution involves three steep: first analyses data from the line, locating the area or sector or product are the fault and then engage the protective equipment to isolate the area being at fault, and then make a qualitative assessment of the performance of the protection system. The implementation of the system on a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to manage fault in distribution network feeder is discussed to enables the performance of the system to be assessed. To achieve these operations our studies were directed towards the application of automation in the distribution network beyond the automatic protection system, we think of the logical system which allows a real and profound study of the control system. Thus we based on the PLC to calculate the values of current and voltage and through an algorithm control these values and operate security switch. |
