Scenic Park (G135) is located within the area of urban construction with urban park features, composed mainly of historic and scenic spots (regions). Skyline is the outline or scene of the highest part of landscape in the background of sky. The skyline of Scenic Park is a complicated system, it mainly contains: urban skyline, natural landscape skyline and urban-natural landscape skyline. Urban skyline is the outline or scene of the large building or complex of buildings or any other objects seen against the sky, is a marginal landscape based on urban panorama, also a most important part in the Scenic Park skyline system. Compared with skyline composed of natural elements, urban skyline is relatively unstable, changing constantly by the urban development and construction. Especially in recent years, with the acceleration pace of urban construction, the urban skyline of large and medium-sized city has become volatile and complex as different kinds of large buildings lacking variety are springing up. The rapid change of urban skyline has a great effect on Scenic Park skyline, which used to be harmony with the nature will change rapidly and disorderly.This paper mainly accomplished the following three tasks: To analyze the urban and Scenic Park skyline's components based on the analysis of many global cities and analyze the components of Xuanwu Lake skyline; To establish the evaluation system of urban skyline, including visual beauty, urban image, human-symbols and ecological standards and point out the deficiencies of Xuanwu Lake skyline; To discuss the urban skyline's control and modeling methods under the background of quick development of urbanization, and Xuanwu Lake as a case of empirical research.
