Study Of Multi-Channel Impulse Amplitude Analyzer Based On LonWorks Technology

With the introduction of new pattern productions of electronic technology, such as new and low power integrated circuits, programmable application specific integrated circuits, microprocessor, etc, the function of nuclear spectrometry data acquisition system is stronger than before.Synchronously, with the development of field-bus technology, it is possible that nuclear data acquisition system becomes intelligent and networked. Lonworks field-bus based on lonWorks technology is one of the most widely used filed-bus presently. So exploiting the fieldbus software and hardware and applying it to the practical control project will accord with the developing evolutive direction of the instruments.The paper introduces the new design of multi-channel impulse amplitude analyzer (MCA) based on LonWorks technology which adopts Micro Controller Unit (MCU) and Neuron chip as core. The new multi-channel analyzer is used extensively in mine,metallurgy,building material,security inspection,industy analysis etc. The paper detailedly disseratates the technology of LON. In conformity to designing the intelligent node, it introduces the core technology of LonWorks, including Neuron Chip, firmware of Neuron Chip, software system of Neuron C, usual LonWorks development tools. According to the introduction of basic theory, this paper put forward a total design of MCA including hardware and software realizations based on LonWorks technology. Hardware circuits include discriminator circuit,peak holding circuit,control circuit,analog-digital conversion circuit and communication circuit. The system detects pulse peak by hardware circuits and controls data acquisition and network communication by MCU and Neuron chip.The application software include nuclear spectrum data acquisition system,communication system and man-machine interface. The paper introduces detaily the use of Neuron C language in communication system.The simple test shows that this system is reliable and is very easy to use.It's all kinds of performances have achieved the goals as expected.
