With the rapid development of the national economy, China's demand for electricity and growing dependence is more and more. At the same time, Substation and power system's security and stability are also put forward higher requirements. In 2008, the Snow and ice of the South caused high disasters .It seriously endangers the normal operation of the power network, affecting the normal life of the people and the normal operation of the factory. The power sector requires a real-time monitoring of substation equipment can monitor the damage to electrical equipment and human factors of the damage at the first time, will be reduced to the minimum value of the loss.The topic explores low-power, high-performance, low-cost and resource-rich embedded processor chip, streamlining core, the performance of a powerful, open source and development of low-cost operating system. This design and implementation issues ARM9-based embedded Linux operating system and the substation control system, implementation of real-time video monitoring of substation equipment, infrared monitoring of fire and smoke detection and other functions. The hardware system use the modular design technology, the host controller use Samsung's S3C2410A as embedded processors, and designed the external interface circuit and other circuits; the video surveillance use the OV511 camera to acquire Images;the infra-red anti-theft detection use the pyroelectric infrared sensors with Fresnel lens to design the alarm circuit; the smoke fire detection use the Motorola MC14468 chip and designed the monitoring circuit. The software Divided into two parts, the bottom part built a cross compiler environment, transplanted embedded Linux operating system and use the Video4Linux API library functions to complete video image acquisition, and extracted and compiled the Driver of the camera. The top part realizes the transmission of video data in the net, use the VC++ to design the client application interface of the monitor, optimizes the video images.The topic improve the shortcomings of the Existing monitoring system, set of video surveillance, infra-red anti-theft monitoring and fire alarm monitoring and other functions, give full play to the advantages of embedded systems and computer networks, designed a feature-rich and excellent substation monitoring system.
