The power plant model used in power system transient stability analysis takes no account of some slow dynamic progresses. It can not satisfy the demand of power system mid- and long-term dynamic simulation. Considering the demand from the power system mid- and long-term dynamic simulation and the dynamic characteristics itself, a physically based and modularized power system model for power system mid- and long-term dynamic simulation is given and programmed. At last some simulation testes are done. The conclusion is the detailed power plant model given can reflect more key interior parameters'dynamic characteristics accurately. In addition, in order to improve the speed of dynamic simulation a dynamic link library(DLL), which includes IAPWS-IF97 fitting formula is built by the software of vc++ 6.0. Then the DLL is used in the program of the dynamic simulation of power plant. At last discover that the calculation speed obviously be raised thus satisfy the request of real-time simulation.
