The urban green space is a special ecosystem in a city. It is a negative feedback adjustment mechanism subsystem in the urban system. The urban green space is an important environmental factor which related to the urban sustainable development. A scientific and reasonable layout of urban green landscape can enhance the operation and management level of urban green space system, and can lead the layout of urban land use towards a healthy and sustainable human environment to develop. This paper takes the TM image of April 13, 2005 as the information source to draw the green space map of Wuhan by using Arcview, Erdas, Mapinfo and other related software to take geometric correction, radiometric correction, integration and the extraction and classification of green landscape. On this basis, we adopt Fragstats, Excel to calculate some indices of urban green space, such as the composition index, the fragmentation index, the fractal dimension, the overall landscape pattern. And we find some problems exist in the urban green landscape of Wuhan. This provides a scientific basis for the improvement of spatial structure and pattern of Urban Green space in Wuhan. We can draw some conclusions from this paper:1)the green space is an important component of urban landscape, it is the most ecology eco-space, and it is an integrated embodiment of natural landscape and humanity landscape.2)the constitute of urban green landscape in Wuhan are the following: within the Center District of Wuhan (Jiang'an District, Jianghan District, Qiaokou District, Hanyang District, Wuchang District, Qingshan District and Hongshan District), the quantity of green landscape and its coverage is low; within the two rural districts of Hannan District and the East and West Lakes District, the green area is not very large, but it has a great green space; within the four remote districts of Caidian, Jiangxia, Xinzhou, Huangpi, the urban green area is large, and Huangpi District has the largest green area in Wuhan City, its forest area up to 273km2.3) In Wuhan city green space, The central area landscape multiple indices can be achieves 0.25, but the suburb landscape multiple indices are relatively low, respectively is Hanna District is 0.46, the thing lake district is 0.39, but the far city's disparity is big, the landscape multiple index highest new continent area is 0.49, the lowest Caidian District is only 0.29. 4)the differences of fragmentation level of urban green landscape patch in Wuhan is rather higher in overall. In the center district, the fragmentation level of urban green landscape patch is rather higher, and the patch is small and scattered. It lacks a certain amount of large-scale green spaces. This seriously restricts the improvement of the city ecological environment and the quality of amusement. While in the suburban districts, the fragmentation level of urban green landscape patch is rather lower. And in the remote districts, it is the least.5)the differences of dimension level of urban green landscape in Wuhan is not very large. It order decrease is in turn the central city, the suburb, far city, but does not surpass 1.45. This is mainly because that the human disturbance has a great effect on the green landscape in central districts. That is why the patch in central districts is regular and simple. While human disturbance has few effect on the green landscape in the suburb and the remotes districts. But with the urbanized development, the human disturbance will have a certain effect on the green landscape in the suburb and the remotes districts in vary degree.6)the differences of corridor condition of urban green landscape in Wuhan is not very obvious, this is mainly because that there are many street corridors in the remote and suburb districts, this is Wuhan's landform condition bestows .The Yangtze River and the Hanjiang River pass through the old city, the coverage area of river corridor is big. But specifically speaking, the density index of corridor in central districts is low, but in the remote districts especially in Huangbei District, the density index is higher.7) In the entire Wuhan city green space, Wuhan central area: Green space landscape quantity and the coverage fraction are lowest, The landscape multiple indices are highest, the stave degree is highest, the fractal dimension number is lowest, the corridor density index is lowest; Hanna District and thing lake district two suburbs: Green space landscape quantity and the coverage fraction are low, the landscape multiple indices are high, the stave degree is low, the fractal dimension number is high, the corridor density index is low; Far city: Green space landscape quantity and the coverage fraction are highest, the landscape multiple indices are lowest, the stave degree is lowest, the fractal dimension number is highest, the corridor density is highest.
