Study on coordinated optimization of urban rail transit and bus service includes two aspects which are planning and design coordination and operation management coordination.This thesis focuses on schedule optimization technology of coordinated rail transit and bus service in the existing transit network.It is intended to realize optimization and coordination between urban rail transit and bus service using operation management control measures,which will improve service level of public transit system and promote integrated deveploment of public transit.Fristly,this thesis reviews domestic and foreign literatures and summarizes the research results and problems in the area of schedule optimization technology of coordinated urban rail transit and bus service.Based on that,basic philosophy and methodology of schedule optimization technology of coordinated rail transit and bus service are proposed.Secondly,schedule optimization model of coordinated urban rail transit and bus service is established to minimize the total cost consists of operator cost and passenger cost by considering randomness of passengers and buses and actual situations of bus and staff configuration.Transit schedule including parameters such as headways and slack times is optimized by implementing operation coordination control for realizing coordination of operation management organization.Thirdly,in order to minimize the total cost of rail transit and bus service system, analytical method is used in uncoordinated operation model.For coordinated operation model,hybrid genetic algorithm(GA) is designed and developed,which is Powell, based on GA.The hybrid GA is programmed using GA toolbox in MATLAB,which is developed by University of Sheffield in UK.Finally,this thesis analyzes a case study with a real transit network in Beijing.The validity and accuracy of hybrid GA is tested by comparing the result calculated by Hybrid GA and that calculated by GA.Meanwhile,various parts of costs in transit system are compared and analyzied between coordinated operation and uncoordinated operation both in peak hour and off-peak hour.In addition,sensitivity analysis between optimital headway and various costs in transit system is complied.It proves that further optimization for the system is limited,because optimital headway is restricted by actual bus configuration of some bus lines.For this problem,this paper proposes some suggestions.
