The extensive use of air-conditioning system exacerbated the rapid growth of building cooling energy consumption.Meanwhile,the energy problem which made passive building design has gradually become to the focus problem of Architecture industry was also on the rise.Night ventilation cooling technique was gradually became one of the important research projects because of its advantages include energy saving effect obviously,improve indoor air quality while energy saving and so on..Intermittent use of modern office building provides benign conditions for the utilization of night ventilation.Furthermore,the large temperature daily range also provides a high climate potential for its utilization.This thesis used energy consumption analysis software "EnergyPlus" to analyze the applicability of night ventilation cooling technique on high-rise office building in north China.Its applicability on severe cold region and cold region was also discussed and "Climate Cooling Potential" was put forward as the quantitative indicator to identify the night ventilation cooling potential value of each region under different weather conditions in north China.First of all,the ventilation manner of night ventilation cooling was analyzed,the cooling mechanism was also discussed from the point of view of heat balance and various factors influenced the cooling efficiency were concluded.Secondly,establish typical high-rise office building model according to the results of field survey and analyze the efficiency of night ventilation used on this building with EnergyPlus.Indoor air temperature,radiant temperature and operating temperature were used as the evaluation index to evaluate the influence of night ventilation on indoor thermal condition.Hourly cooling load was the evaluation index to evaluate the influence of night ventilation on building cooling energy consumption.Finally,according to typical meteorological year weather data of 167 weather stations located in severe cold and cold region of north China,quantitative analyze the climatic applicability of night ventilation in this area."Climate Cooling Potential" was put forward as the quantitative indicator to identify the applicability and the CCP values were educed.The visualization results which were shown as "night ventilation CCP distribution map" were also given in this thesis combined with geographic information system.
