The earthquake is a sudden natural disaster;the strong momentary shake can cause destructive effect on our city.In recent years, the damage generated in structures under earthquake is studied extensively by scientists.Due to the effect of damage, the mechanical property of structures and members will be degraded. The research results show that the damage gradually accumulates with the increase of cycle times of earthquake.Local destroy or collapse is generated, when the accumulative damage arrives at a certain extent.AS a good earthquake-resistance structure system, the seismic performance of Steel Reinforced Concrete(SRC) is studied by scientists. The SRC column is important seismic members for structure,so the damage mechanism of SRC columns should be known clearly. In this paper, failure pattern, hysteretic curves, skeleton curves of Steel Reinforced High Strength and High Performance Concrete(SRHSHPC) frame columns are obtained through experimental results of 13 specimens which are tested under low cyclic repeated loading. The effect of shear span ratio, concrete strength and axial compression ratio on seismic behaviors of SRHSHPC frame columns is analyzed. Based on existing seismic damage models,a new seismic damage model is put forward for SRHSHPC frame columns, which is a nonlinear combination of deformation and accumulative dissipation. The damage index of tentative SRHSHPC frame columns is compared under different loading cycle levels, and the effect of concrete strength, axial compression ratio and shear span ratio on damage of SRHSHPC frame columns is discussed. The comparison of the value of calculation obtained by damage model and the test results shows that the damage model established inhere supplies a good reference for seismic damage analysis of structure, estimation of economic loss and repair after earthquake.
