With the development of the electronic computer,image-processing technology and navigation technology,electronic chart system has been brought out to describe the ocean geographic condition and navigation information in digital form.As the basic of electronic navigation chart application system,ECDB and it's management system decides the function and performance of the system.Electronic navigation chart system established in Digital Channel and Intelligent Shipping System Demonstration Project which covered Nanjing to Liuhekou part of Yangtze River,is the technical support of relizing Yangtze River shipping development.It's also significant for overall raising Yangtze River shipping safety management level and reinforcing the ships navigation security,including improving shipping environment.According to concrete demand about electronic navigation charts production,this article takes the construction of Digital Channel electronic navigation charts system as background,reference to domestic and overseas spatial database system development ideas,proposes constructing spatial databases system oriented to electronic navigation charts production and mainly studies storage and management of spatial data.First,through analysis to data organization structure of S-57 international standard, according to principle and method of constructing spatial database,pass by the conceptual design,the logical design obtain the relational spatial database memory structure of system,integrated store of spatial data and attribute data.Based on the study and comparison on present database management system,the author decides taking Oracle as database platform of this system.Second,according to concrete demand about electronic Navigation charts production, design and develope spatial databases management system on the visual platform Visual C++.On the basis of key research on the function design and key technology of submodules such as data collection and storage,data edition,map cliping,navigation charts export etc,gives the technical ideas and solution,and realizes the main function.Finally,the conclusion part of this paper has concluded the research if the subject and then put forward futher imagation and expection on the future's research wok.
