3D visualization is an interactive environment based on calculable information. Because it can help people to establish the enveronment that has immersion be personally on the scene, interaction to complex system, imagination and creativity, so it can become the necessary high-tech technology in every social application field. Nowadays, 3D visualization technology has became one important portion of simulation system software,and it's also become primary content of virtual reality and distributed interactive simulation.By using inland river container port as the actual object, the paper reaearches on the three 3D visualization system driving of 3D modeling and container terrminal port. Based on the characteristics of high real-time and interaction,the paper designed system function,analyzed technology coures,anvanced holistic frame and confirmed the development environment with 3D Max and Quest 3D.3D modeling is the base of container port 3D visualized system.The paper particular introduced the modeling methods of 3D max, advanced the modeling technology course, established a whole 3D virtual inland waters container port model which including texture storehouse, topographical data, full-scale mockup and environmental model, researched several modeling pivotal technology, and advanced optimizing technology of 3D virtual scene modeling based on structure optimizing and modeling optimizing.The paper researched Quest 3D simulation to apply the platform,proposed the Main frame and basic step of developing Quest 3D application procedure. And carries on the analysis one by one to ground view demonstration and actuation several key technologies.Finally, using VC++ software platform to develops a tabletop the standard container berth three dimensional visualization system. Has realized to wharf hypothesized roaming and carried on the simulation demonstration at real-time condition of Transportation system, port road system, loading and unloading loader and storage facilities disposition.In actual task,the system runs steady,read real-time data exactly,the simulation effect was reality and fluency. The result showed that the development method used in this paper based on design of object-oriented software and rules-based event flow controling had strong flexibilities and practicability, and can be used in similar development of 3D scene simulation system.
