| Ozone is one of key byproducts when there is corona on the surface of the composite insulator,the effect of ozone on the performance of silicone rubber(S1R) material during corona aging has been investigated in this thesis.The experimental system and the corresponding measurement system have been developed.The investigation of the ozone aging of SIR have been carried out under 3 different concentration of ozone(30ppm,300ppm,800ppm) with 3 varied relative humidity (25%,55%,85%).The performance of aged rubber samples were evaluated using scanning electron microscope(SEM),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR),hydrophobicity measurement and thermally stimulated current(TSC) test. According to the experimental results,it could be found that the defects on material surface would be increased after the aging process in the ozone.Meanwhile,ozone also causes the hydrophobicity loss and material performance degradation. Furthermore,a higher humidity can accelerate the aging process in ozone. |
