| Through falling to pieces, classifying and mixing according to certain proportion, the crap concrete would form recycled concrete aggregate. Using recycled aggregate as a replacement to some or all of the natural aggregate, is called recycled concrete. The recycled concrete can not only save resource, but can also protect environment. It is a kind of new-style green concrete. At present, the study on recycled concrete mainly concentrates on material performances and properties of beam and column, but the research on structural property of recycled concrete shear wall is lack. In this paper, researches on the recycled concrete shear walls with different design parameters were done. The main contents are listed as follows:1. Seismic experimental study was done on 10 low-rise recycled concrete shear walls with shear-span ratio 1.0. Based upon the study, load-carrying capacity, the stiffness and its degradation, ductility, hysteretic behavior, energy dissipation and failure phenomena of each shear wall were systematically analyzed. And the influence of recycled coarse and fine aggregate replacement ratio, reinforcement ratio, axial compression ratio and concealed bracing on the seismic performance of the recycled concrete shear walls was mainly analyzed.2. The simplified mechanical model, the calculative formulas of the initial stiffness and the bearing capacity of the recycled concrete shear wall were established. The calculating results of the initial stiffness and the bearing capacity accorded well with the experimental results.3. Based upon the experimental results and analysis, suggestions for seismic design and details of seismic design were presented.The main research conclusions are as follows:1. Compared to the low-rise common wall, the recycled concrete shear walls with recycled coarse aggregate show almost the same performance on load-carrying capacity, stiffness, ductility and energy dissipation. It is totally feasible to use recycled coarse aggregate as a replacement to natural coarse aggregate in the shear wall.2. Compared to the low-rise common wall, the seismic performance of recycled concrete shear walls with recycled fine aggregate shows a little decline. Compared to the recycled coarse aggregate, the recycled fine aggregate has slightly larger influence on the performance of the shear wall. The replacement ratio of recycled fine aggregate should be strictly controlled.3. The recycled concrete shear wall with concealed bracing shows good performance on load-carrying capacity, stiffness, ductility, energy dissipation. With setting of concealed bracing in the low-rise shear wall with recycled concrete, seismic performance was improved obviously.In this paper, the results of experimental study and suggestions of seismic design can be used for reference. |
