PLC Experimental Teaching System Based On The Configuration Software

Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is a new automatic control device that integrates computer technology, automatic control technology and communication technology. PLC is very important in industrial automation field, therefore, colleges and universities have been now set up on some courses in application of programmable logic controller. PLC have practical requirements, correlative experiments is very important, students can really master the programmable controller technology only through the actual operation. But traditional physical experimental is expensive, difficult to maintain, and less in the feasibility and flexibility.This paper put forward a viable scheme-- PLC experimental teaching system based on the configuration software according to the present situation and the problems of PLC teaching experiment in colleges and universities. The main content is as follows:1. The feasibility of realizing PLC experiment teaching system with configuration software was analyzed in a clear purpose and significance of the project. The present situation, trend of PLC and configuration software was introduced.2. The performance of teaching experiments of PLC and configuration software which often were used in colleges and universities were compared, Basic structure, working principle and characteristics of the PLC and configuration software were introduced, the theory of communication between PLC and configuration software was expounded.3. According to various types of instruction teaching requirements PLC courses, four typical experiments were selected, the realization of the program based on the S7-200 series PLC and ForceControl configuration software was discussed in detail, and the PLC experimental teaching system was established.Because of establishment of PLC experimental teaching system based on the configuration software, the problem which colleges and universities are difficult to carry out the PLC experiments courses were solved, interest of the students in learning was increased ,the teaching performance was strengthened, and the requirements of colleges and universities teaching experiment PLC was meet.
