Trainborne signal test system is widely used in railway system.It is special for track circuit and cab signal test. With the rapid expansion of national railway , requirement should be more and more strict on both test precision and test functional expansion. Current test methods and scheme can't meet all the requirement on site and need to be modified to keep up with the developing signaling technologies in railway.In order to improve the current railway signal test system,research has been done on test schemes and arithmetics. First, railway signal test system history is reviewed,and deficiencies in current test system are analyzed. Secondly, system functions and global architecture are designed to meet the test requirement; Thirdly,hardware design and software design are described in detail, then test results are exampled and analyzed;Lastly, conclusion and expection are made.This paper is distinguished as:1) Modular design and virtual instrumentation are used to make the system expendable.2) Train locating method, with automatic mileage correction method in it, is proposed.3) Track circuit signal analyzing method based on spectrum zoom and spectrum correction is proposed to make the test precise and in real time.4) Compensating capacitors testing online method is proposed.Research report and test results on site imply that:Compared with traditional test system, this system is reliable,precise,and expendable,and has wonderful man-machine interface, meeting test requirements on site.
