For monitoring the neutron yield of the 14MeV D-T neutron generator at Lanzhou University, three kinds of experimental methods were investigated in this thesis. An experimental measurement system using the associated particle method was set up for monitoring the D-T/D-D neutron yield. By the theoretical analysis, the anisotropy factors were calculated for the D-T/D-D neutron yield measurement with the different energetic projectile D beams. Then, the associated particle spectrums of D-D and D-T reactions were measured. The influence factors on the measurement accuracy were considered.A U-238 fission chamber was developed for monitoring the D-T/D-D neutron yield. And its preliminary debugging was finished by measuring theαparticle from energy spectrum and the counts of the U-238 Spontaneous decay. The plateau curve of the U-238 fission chamber was given.A recoil proton telescope system for monitoring the D-T neutron source was designed by the Monte-Carlo method simulation. Firstly, the recoil proton yield, energy spectrum and angular distribution produced by the 14MeV mono-energetic neutron on the polyethylene with different thickness were simulated using the MCNPX code. According to the simulation result, the fitted polyethylene's thickness and the detector location were chosen. Secondly, the D-T neutron source model was established using the D-T neutron source's energy spectrum and angular distribution with the thick TiTx target .The Shielding collimator system for the recoil proton telescope was simulated and designed by the MCNPX code. The neutron energy spectrum and flux of the collimated neutron beam were given. Finally, according to the optimal thickness of the polyethylene film and the optimal location of the detector, a recoil proton telescope system was designed. Through the simulation of the energy spectrum and count ratio of the recoil proton using the MCNPX code, the detection efficiency of the recoil proton telescope system was presented.
