Thermal System Control Performance Assessment Method For Coal-fired Power Plant

Based on the minimum variance control methodology and considering the thermal system's characteristic in the coal-fired power plant, this paper derives the calculation method of cascade control system minimum variance performance assessment index for the superheated stream temperature control system, and assesses its control performance. Using the minimum variance assessment method, for single loop control system with PID controller, this paper introduces the achievable PID control system performance assessment index, compares and analyzes it with the minimum variance performance assessment index. The author takes part in the development of the Thermal System Control Performance Assessment Software and writes the program of minimum variance performance assessment.
