Both in the normal and broken-down situation,the excitation control systems of generator play a very important role.Excellent excitation control system not only guarantee the reliable operation of generators,but also effectively improve the performance of power system and provide the quality electricity.At present,the dynamic simulation laboratory which has some disadvantages,such as big occupied area,long term construction,large investment,was not applied to the power system operators and college students majoring in power system to carry out the trainings and excitation regulation experimentations.In order to change the situation,on the base of referring the domestic and international data,studying existing excitation regulator device and combing characteristics of microprocessor excitation device and experimental training,take part in the project's research and design which is"microprocessor excition regulate experimental device"of Changsha TongQing electric information company.This paper put forward a new microprocessor excitation experimental device of generator for teaching,which use dual CPUs architecture,both adopting TI's TMS320F2812 chip for processor with high performance.The hardware platform of monitoring CPU and human-computer interaction CPU use module design,which is clear thought,simple structure and easy to implement.Monitoring CPU was its control core which was mainly responsible for how to carry out sampling and calculating,how to take restrictions judgement,how to output the control signal,how to handle communication and so on.The human-computer interaction CPU accomplish keyboard handle, LCD display and communication task.Based on the analysis of communication data types and data features within excitation experimental device,design the communication way which is based on the ModBus protocol to enhance versatility, expandability and compatibility of device.Software design of device use the C language,the software of monitoring CPU is developed according to functions to complete relevant measure and control operations of excitation device,which is clear process,easy to expand and maintain.LCD Chinese menu adopting in the human-computer interface makes operation simply and interface friendly.Through the human-computer interface,training staff can set the parameters of the excitation device online to fulfill variety of exciting experiments.it make an assay of interference's source of device and bring forward some anti-interference measures.On the basis of completion of system design for the device,produce the prototype and carry out simulation experiments to verify the feasibility of design proposal and the accuracy of machine work.The experimental device can carry out a series of exciting experiments which has complete training function and characteristics of small occupied area,less investment,reliable structure,intuitive,high efficiency and wide applied range.For power system operator and college students majoring in power system,it is a effective,useful and less investment teaching experimental device.
