With the expanding of power system and the increasing of non-linear loads,the "harmonic pollution" of the power system has become more and more serious.For harmonics of the power system may result in serious damage and major economic losses,harmonic treatment has great significance.This thesis shows the specific analysis method for harmonic,voltage imbalance, voltage fluctuation and flicker,and other indicators of the power quality.Especially it gives the compensation iterative algorithm based on the IEC voltage flicker analysis method and validates the theoretical analysis method by examples.At the same time, it provides important data for the study of the power quality.This thesis uses the hybrid active power filter(HAPF) to compensate harmonics, analyses its working principle and technical features.And the current detection circuit, DC voltage control circuit,current tracking control circuit,inverter circuit are designed separately.Finally this thesis uses MATLAB simulation to verify the method of the theoretical analysis.And it focuses on the utility technology of the active power filter.For the future's actual R & D and application,it gives a few better methods of calculation in the parameters of the main circuit design.The simulation results show that using hybrid active power filter to compensate harmonic is a practical and effective method.
