With the development of social economy and high speed growth of urban population, travel demands of urban citizens is increasingly growing, which usually exceeds transport supply. Improving operation efficiency of urban transit is an effective method to alleviate urban traffic problem. Based on analyzing the characters and applicable condition of stop schedule plan problem for urban rail transit, some optimization models for different stop schedule types were built under multi-mode background, combined with the travel choice behavior of citizens. These models are all aimed at searching for the stop schedule plan which makes operation efficiency optimal. All above, the main contents of this dissertation are as follows:1. Systematically studied the concept of operation efficiency of urban rail transit. Proposed the definition, definitude the measure indexes from two aspects: passengers and operating enterprise and discussed the relationship between stop-schedule plan and operation efficiency.2. Detailed studied the stop-schedule plan problem. Considering the character and applicable condition differences of skip-stop operation, zonal operation and express/local operation, three optimization models for the three stop schedule types were built on the assumption that the demand of passengers was fixed and known.3. Combined with the traffic mode choice, a bi-level programming model of stop-schedule plan problem was built, considering the interaction between stop-schedule plan problem and passenger flow distribution. Frank-Wolfe Algorithm, Tabu Search Algorithm, and BLABG Algorithm were combined to solve the model. Then the method for choosing the optimal stop sequence was given.4. Based on the theoretical research, stop-schedule plan for Tianjin Jinbin Light Rail Transit during morning peak hour was given, validated the rationality and feasibility for this research.
