Fastener-style tubular steel scaffolding and falsework is widely used in building construction because it is characterized by convenience to establish and disassemble, good general-utility and great global rigidity. However, the deficiency of design philosophy and the shortage of construction management and stuff quality are the main factors that induce structural failures during the construction phase. According to the statistics data, collapse accidents of scaffold and falsework which occupy the 25 percents of all construction accidents, seriously threat the safety of construction project. Therefore, the study on the fastener-style tubular steel falsework has important theoretic and practice meanings.The paper reviewed the development of scaffold and falsework both at home and aboard, contrasted and analyzed several theories about the calculation of scaffold. Based on the previous research and the used tubular scaffold code ( JGJ130-2001 ), a calculation model was established. Semirigid joint and reasonable simplification were applied to analysis.The paper also put forward the force calculation formula of the bearing, got the ratio of vertical load and horizontal load and analysed the ultimate bearing capacity of the falsework with different heights.。...
