The counterfeits not only bring about serious economic losses to 1egal manufacturers and derogation of the products'impression to customers and confusion of the market, but also do great harm to the life and health of consumers. To confront counterfeits, anti- counterfeiting technology developed from non-digital way to digital way stepped by the developing of information technology. But it still has some disadvantages such as inconvenience and inefficiency. So the ability of anti-counterfeit system is limited awfully by these disadvantages. The widely use of wireless mobile terminals gives a coruscation to the anti- counterfeiting technology.A multifunctional anti-counterfeiting system which has functions such as identity authentication, anti-counterfeit query and electronic payment is put forward by using digital signature and encoding technology. There are four entities in the system. They are anti-counterfeit query service center, purchaser, bargainor and manufacturer. It is divided into three subsystems such as anti-counterfeit query service center, purchaser and bargainor. The system provides services in the five procedures such as initialization, query, arbitration payment and recall. The subsystem for purchaser uses the J2ME (JAVA 2 Micro Edition) technology which is based on mobile terminals. Mobile terminals communicates with others by SMS (Short Message Service) due to it is cheap. According to the design of the system, this thesis defined a protocol for communication and divided the program on mobile into block for user interface, block for wireless communication and block for disposal. It also finished receiving and sending more than one SMS in order after going deep into the characters of SMS and J2ME WMA (Wireless Message Application).By using JSR75 which is provided by J2ME, it can read the information in digital certificate which is sorted in the file system of mobile. These information are useful for the process such as digital signature and verify of digital signature. By using the RMS (Record Management System) of J2ME, it saves the messages received in the communication. It is seamless between mobile terminals and services center by using the lightweight open source package for encryption which is named by Bouncy Castle. According the protocol designed for communication, the block for processing uses different mode to process the messages received or messages to be sent. It can finish all the functions which are needed in the system. Finally, it proved the feasibility and validity of the design through running a test on a simulator JP-7 of Sony Ericsson.
