Research On The Theories And Methods Of Urban Design Based On Sustainable Development

In the areas of urban research, with research on sustainable development of cities continues in-depth, on sustainable urban design research results gradually rich. For sustainable buildings in cities, through the overview and analysis of the existing theories,measures and strategies of sustainable design, the explore for China's future sustainable design takes a great deal of significance.Took the progress of study on sustainable urban design as object, this thesis firstly expatiates the important significance of build of sustainable–development cities; secondly introduces and analyzes the theories of several cities'sustainable development, including the theory of eco-city and green city, smart growth, new urbanism, compact city and the urban planning system and policies; thirdly summarizes and explains the technologies and methods of design of sustainable cities, which come from those theories before and refers to sustainable appraisal, thrift land use, integration of transportation & land use and design of green infrastructure. Besides, this paper analyzes and sums up the strategies of sustainable urban design in the urban layout, the overall urban landscape and open space, the layout of buildings. Then it analyzes two practical projects----"Dongtan eco-city in Shanghai"and"Sixin district in Wuhan", in order to explore and examine the effective measures and strategies for sustainable design in practice.
