With the increasing gradually energy consumption and approaching depletion of traditional fossil fuel, the human being is trying to find new forms of energy medium. The hydrogen energy has been appreciated for it being clean, highly efficient and renewable. As a specific utilization of hydrogen energy, fuel cells are being utilized more and more widely for electric power generation. However, due to its inherent output characteristics, the output of fuel cell's electric power is not suitable to direct utilization, and the DC/DC converter is adopted to fuel cell to improve its output performance. Therefore, it is necessary to make research on DC/DC converter's control strategy for the purpose of ensuring its performance.Firstly, according to the fuel cell's general working mechanism, its dynamic and steady-state models are built up in the MATLAB/Simulink environment to provide foundation for relatively truly emulating the working conditions on the input side of DC/DC converter connected to the fuel cell. Then, according to the requirements proposed by fuel cells working characteristics, the basic type of the converter is selected, and the corresponding instantaneous model and averaged model are built up, working point's locus being analyzed, to provide theoretical reference for the following research on control strategy. Thereafter, the DC/DC converter's working point's locus of different models being taken into consideration, the three control strategies: switching rule control, half delay feed-forward control and input-output linearization are designed and implemented in simulation environment, the simulation results being analyzed and explained. Finally, in accordance with the obtained research results, the expectation for future work is put forward.
