Forward converter is widely used in spacecraft power supply system which is under strongradiation and electromagnetic environment for its high reliability and efficiency.In this paper, the basic form of wide-input-voltage forward converter cell is presented based on thepre-research by our research team. And some realization methods of the forward cells are analyzed.Then the methods of generating wide-input-voltage forward converter based on wide-input-voltageforward cells are summrised. A class of RCD forward converter and a class of active-clamp forwardconveter are presented. In the next chapter, the operating principles and characteristic of two of theRCD forward topologies are analyzed in detail. Then the design of the prototypes is presented. Theresults of experiment show that the method of researching topology is correct and the topologies arehave the advantages such as suitable for wide input voltage application, low voltage stress, highefficiency and so on. At last, the operating principles and characteristic of two of the active-clampforward converters are analyzed in detail. The results of experiments verify the analysys of theoperating principle. The topologies have the advantages such as suitable for wide input voltageapplication, low voltage stress, high efficiency and so on.
