Study On The Military Geography Matters Of Longyou In Han-Wei Times

"Longyou" military history is an important part of Han-Wei history. The special geographical condition of "Longyou" makes it comparatively different from the other strategic areas in military characteristics. After collecting the materials of "Longyou" geographical environment, military engineering, traffic lines and military history, this paper investigates into the relationships between the war and geographical, then more deeper into the relationships between "Longyou" and political structure of ancient Chinese from another side, by using of the combined methods of historical documents and archaeological, as well as the intuitive description of the map.The text is divided into five parts.The part of Introduction, gives the selected reason and purpose, some definitions of "Dating"," Terrain" etc, and also the overview of related study.The first chapter, constructs "Longyou" territory basis during military history, by analyzing the natural and social environment of its historical period.Chapterâ…¡, after study of the military engineering and inspection lines, detailed investigates the passes and traffic routes of "Longyou", the related map also show the strategically importance of this area intuitively.Chapterâ…¢, briefly describes the strategic and tactical questions from both macro and micro aspects, and then discusses the relationship between geographical elements of "Longyou" and military, in conjunction with the historical events, such as the battle of Longyou, which rising by Liuxiu, the war between the nation of Han and Qiang in Eastern Han dynasty and the scramble of Longyou in Three Kingdoms times. Chapterâ…£, combined with the aforementioned historical events, analyzes "Longyou" impact on "Guanzhong", as well as Chinese political structure, and further highlights the importance of Longyou's political and military status, by introducing the unique culture, geographic, economy and other aspects of Longyou.
