In cold-formed steel structures,we need to open holes on flange and web of beams and columns for the purpose of getting through the pipeline.Due to the existence of holes, there must be some impact on the capacity and stability of the components.AISI Specification have made relevant rules on web with openings, but Technical Code of Cold-Formed Thin-Wall Steel Structures(GB50018-2002) does not have the rules. So in this paper, the cold-formed thin-wall lipped channel beams with web openings commonly used in engineering have been studied. The paper use the finite element software-ANSYS to analyze the impact of the size parameters of openings and shape parameters on the buckling of web with circle openings referencing the method of studying a single plate with no openings.A function of bucking coefficient about the size parameters of openings and shape parameters has been got.Based on this, the paper established the model having flanges and got the function of bucking coefficient about the width parameters of flanges. Finally, the formula of bucking coefficient of web with circle openings in cold-formed thin-wall lipped channel beams has been got in the paper.Only web with circle openings under the loads of the pure bending and pure shear are analyzed in the paper, the conclusions provide a reference for a similar research and design issues.
