In order to solving the increasing serious air pollution and achieving sustainable development, the development of new energy cars and efficient cars has become the development direction of the automotive industry. Hybrid electric vehicle is a typical energy-saving environmentally-friendly vehicle, it is also has been a trend of automotive industry. Hybrid Electric Vehicle combines the electric-powered and internal combustion engine-driven advantages of recovery energy when braking to charge the battery, run a smooth, low noise and make up the disadvantages of short mileage about electric vehicle. Hybrid electric vehicle emissions of the engine can be very low, even lower than emissions from power plants, which can often make the engine work in one or two best condition of emission performance and economic performance in the steady-state operating point in order to achieve low emissions.In the dissertation, the Chang'an HEV is researched and tested on its emissions and performances within the ADVISOR about simulation software of hybrid electric vehicle under the typical drive conditions. The simulation and theoretical analysis have been completed. The main contents include:(1) Analysis of harmful pollutants of vehicle engine, the methods of control emission is discussed and the development of basic vehicle emission technology is expressed.(2) Analysis the combustion model of vehicle engine and emission model of vehicle,formation principles and affecting factors of pollutant about HC,CO,NOx and the trends and the condition of emission pollutants on different drive cycle condition are discussed and researched. These will provide a theoretical basis for Changan HEV.(3) It is discussed to analyze of the test data and results about the Changan HEV experiments and to research the emission characteristic on the steady and unsteady condition.(4) Through analysis of ADVISOR simulation software, the Changan HEV model is established. Using the simulation model in Advisor simulation software, the Changan HEV in the different typical drive cycle and condition under different control strategy are analyzed and researched. The different simulation and experimental results are analyzed and discussed.In a word, the theoretical analyses and simulation of emissions control for Changan HEV is discussed and researched in the paper, which provides some theoretical reference for emissions control of the HEVs.
