Chinese classical garden and ancient myths and legends of China, both of them embody Chinese colorful imagination and great creativity, they represent Chinese wealth of spirit and material, and they respectively represent Chinese Tangible Cultural Heritage and Intangible Cultural Heritage, they are the symbol of Chinese civilization .There are countless ties between each other. On one hand,the spatial distribution,pursuit of artistic conception and even the decorative patterns of buildings themselves are effected by myths and legends; on another hand, myths and legends are inherited by gardens. And many Chinese classical gardens are the reappearance of"fairy land"in myths.This article mainly discuss the Kunlun myth,penglai legend,the myth of the moon,the myth of calabash,the story of eight immortals, discuss how their history and cultural details affect the Chinese classical garden. I choose them as representatives because they are typical and they have influence on Chinese classical gardens deeply.
