The Architectural Design Study Of Cuis' Courtyard On The Hubu Hill Of Xuzhou

Subei residences are different from the South and the North residences,because of its geographical location and climatic characteristics.Xuzhou is located in the junction of north and south since ancient times,so the style of the architectures is variety,forming its own unique style.It has features in site,materials,and combining the north and the south courtyard.Cuis' Courtyard is located in the Hubu hill in the south of Xuzhou,As the Subei traditional residences,it carries lots of historical information;at the same time as a mountain building,it's also rich in geographical characteristics.As many national buildings,it's the symbol of the history of civilization,with rich cultural details.This article systematically expounded the history of Cuis' Courtyard,revealed the artistic features of the building,such as a unique form of architecture - Yuanyang building,wall structure - Raw soil inside and bricks outside,the carved art - Yunyan decorated by flower and so on,analyzed and discussed the layout of local conditions and the plane pattern which is peculiar in two axises.Finally thesis expounded opinion on repairing and reuse of this courtyard,it must have the value of the theory and practice on the spread and use of architectural culture.
