With the increase of rotational speed, cam system as the combination of many higher-pair will produce a larger inertia force, which causes deformation of elastic components. This can't meet the needs of engineering. Even worse, it will lead to strong vibration, noise, wear and unfunction of the machine. So it is necessary to do more precise qualitative analysis and quantitative calculation. This dissertation not only sets up the corresponding dynamic model through systematic and complete analysis on the concrete practice of one high-speed cam, but also calculates the response of the system in detail based on Matlab platform and obtains the corresponding results, which can verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis. First, the dissertation sets up a dynamic model of the actual equivalent through the equivalent transformation and simplification on the mass, the rigidity and freedom.Through systematic analysis and comparison, we introduce methods to determine the geometric parameters of the cam mechanism, and find a specific formula to solve the problem.Second, the dissertation compares dynamic responses with nominal output of the elastic cam by Matlab software and analysises factors affecting dynamic output, and rotational speed of cam is the most effection on dynamic output, radius of base circle and the system damping ratio have a significant impact on the dynamic output too. From the above analysis, the dissertation gives the corresponding appropriate parameter to meet a specific requirements, such as the distortion of the movement and the stability of the system.Third, the dissertation makes more analysis based on Hertz's contact theory to solve the contact stress between the cam and follower, and find the factor which can change the contact stress; and compares with the characteristic of the distribution of contact stress under three types of motion rules. the reasonable basis is provide to select the suitable motion rules. Finally, progress and shortcoming of studies presented in this paper is concluded, and ongoing research work is proposed.
