The machinery continuous variable transmission is a universal device which is fit for mechanization and automatization of the current production process as well as improvement of mechanical performance. It has advantages of constant power, high efficiency and high reliability, therefore it is widely used in the field of machinery. With the development of computer technology, the advanced CAE technology has become powerful tool for the engineering designer to carry on the product analysis, the verification and the simulation. Using the advanced CAE technology will greatly reduce the product's design cycle, raise the rated capacity, and reduce the design cost.This topic takes the project application as a goal, uses a large FEM analysis software? ANSYS to carry on the structure analysis and the optimization design of the DBL impulse continuous variable transmission box.The main work is as follows:1. Carries on the kinematics and dynamics simulation using the MATLAB/Simulink software to the gearshift mechanism, and carries on the analysis to the simulation result, obtains the biggest outside load which the box various bearing supports receives.2. Makes the FEM model and the static analysis of the box, carries on the appraisal to the analysis result and judges whether the box under working conditions has the enough intensity and the rigidity, the box structure is whether reasonable.3. Carries on the model of the box using ANSYS Parametric Design Language(APDL), uses the SUBP-order to carry on the optimization, and carries on the analysis to the optimization result, and makes the improvement to the box structure's deficiency.The result indicate that:1. When the continuous variable transmission's working condition is invariable, the gearshift mechanism various pivots'reaction changes unceasingly under the identical gear ratio, the gearshift mechanism various pivots'biggest reaction changes along with the gear ratio change, when the output rotational speed is biggest(gear ratio is smallest), the various pivots'biggest reaction is biggest.2. The existing box safety coefficient is high, the design tends to be conservative.3. When the box's wall thickness becomes from 4mm to 5mm, the box's maximum equivalent stress is still smaller than the box's material allowable stress, satisfies the design requirements. After making improvement to the box structure, the maximum equivalent stress drops obviously.This topic has made the thorough exploration in the DBL impulse continuous variable transmission box's structure analysis and the optimization design aspect, obtained some valuable conclusions, has the guiding significance to the box's actual production. At the same time, this topic's research technique and the process also have the very good reference value to other type transmission box's research.
