Now automobiles are of high-tech products integrated with machines and electrons, with the highly speedy development of electrical technology, a lot of electron parts have been applied on most field of automobile, such as electron fuel eject system, ABS. The development of electrical technology gives feasibility of intelligent controlling system. but they still have many problems with their structures and imperfect control.The motor engine cooling system has such problems.Aiming at improving the imperfect control of the engine cooling system,this paper uses the intelligent control technology to control the motor engine cooling system,solve the concrete problems of the engine cooling system,achieve a good control effect,enhance the engine dynamic characteristics and its economy as well,reduce the automotive exhaust pollution,thus reaching the goal of saving the energy sources and protecting the environment,and prolonging the automobile service lifetime.Cooling system of automobile engine was researched intensively from those aspects which are listed as follows.Firstly, purpose and significance of research was discoursed, the current situation of research at home and abroad was introduced, existing problems with this field were analyzed;Secondly, influence factors of cooling system were analyzed, integral architecture and hardware circuit were designed, fuzzy control strategy was raised.Thirdly, fuzzy controller of control system wais designed in detail, it included selection of input and output variable of fuzzy controller,confirmation of range and membership function of input and output variable,design of control rules of fuzzy controller and confirmation of means of fuzzy reasoning and defuzzicationFourthly, software flow of control system was designed.Fifthly, simulation software MATLAB was used. simulation model was designed, influence factors of performance of fuzzy control system was analyzed according to simulation model chart, which offered important basis for design of fuzzy controller.On the basis of simulation model chart , simulation data was compared with experimental data, fractional error between those is about 3 percent, the result shows the model chart is good.This thesis applies the fuzzy control method to the automotive engine cooling system,which is significant to the perfection and continual development of modern automobiles,the realization of economizing energy sources,and the protection of the environment.This also provides a new way to improve modern motor engine performance.
