With the development of our economic construction, the high-rise buildings increase gradually and the fire frequency also increases day by day. Therefore, the ability of city fire control should be improved. As a general type of fire Truck, with the function of high altitude fire control, high altitude sprinkle (jet), high altitude emergency help, high altitude engineering homework, it's more and more urgent to develop and design Aerial Platform Fire Truck.Based on the Aerial Platform Fire Truck computation and the development of modeling soft in Xu Zhou Heavy Machine Ltd. cooperation task, the purposes of this project are the formation of the arm system to calculate and modeling software, the universal software platform about the lift-up fire engine. Aimed to the telescopic boom arm support and mixed-style, the software could make a parametric modeling, analysis, verification and optimization so as to shorten the product development period and improve the effectiveness of product development.The arm system (telescopic) of Aerial Platform Fire Truck includes the structure of arm structure, telescopic system and telescopic cylinder. The reasonableness matching among each part has an important effect on the stability of lift up engine. Thereinto, the choice for the strength and stiffness of arm support has a vital effect on the stability of lift up engine and the self-weight of arm structure has a crucial on the carrying capacity of the engine. Under satisfying the stability, optimize arm structure parameter and matching for the system and reduce self-weight is the core technology for the design of Aerial Platform Fire Truck. In this thesis, study and improve the method of arm support structural analysis for DG42C, DG54C respectively and make a special optimization for folding jib.Before analyzing, communicate with technician, observe the real engine, understand the structure and working ways, apprehend main arm telescopic system, way of working and conduction force character about folding jib. Simplify the scheme computation and detailed computation of the model, communicate with technician, meanwhile, study their former product analysis, especially the quality and load. Exchange ideas with the corporation about the range of stress control, the result and form.Firstly, the thesis researches the methods of scheme calculation based on DG42C Aerial Platform Fire Truck, makes use of Finite element method and ANSYS software, calculates elongate capacity of arm structure with beam, which adopts Beam188 user-defined section whose shapes are the same with real one. To the basic arm, two-arm, three-arm and four-arm (except the head of four-arm and folding jib ), the range of stress control is 228~230MPa.In the process dichotomy was used for Interpolate elongate capacity of arm structure, assemble, adding loads, analysis, till the stress meets our needs. At the same time, the software could output tanks force, chain force, drawing board force etc. and check the stiffness.Then, based on DG54C Aerial Platform Fire Truck, the thesis researches the methods of detail calculation with Finite element method and ANSYS software too, checks the intensity and stiffness of the arm structure with shell63 element. Constraint equation is used in connect location, and link8 is used in tanks, chain, drawing board. Estimates the results and gives the suggestions.DG42C scheme computation and DG54C detailed calculation form automated computational procedure respectively. With the batch processing, APDL Language in ANSYS and C Language the Condition parameter could reach the process of assembling model, loading, solving, getting results and result double treating. Automatic computing could solve the problem of batch computing for much Condition.Make a kinematics calculation through analytic method for folding jib firstly and calculate angular velocity and angular acceleration of folding jib according to the speed of folding jib telescopic cylinder, bases composition of velocity law and composition of accelerations law.Finally, the thesis gives a kinematic simulation for luffing change and a calculation on palstance and angular acceleration curve with ADAMS software. With the function of optimization design, aimed at reducing angular acceleration of folding jib, ADAMS makes an optimization for folding jib change through the two points of parametric arm in the range of the given coordinate figure.
